  • Why would I need career development coaching?
There are numerous reasons why someone will seek career coaching. Most popular is to kick start a career transition or to get some really practical interview preparation from an experienced coach. Many come to a career coach to find their career direction, accelerate their career path, gain support through change, navigate a promotion opportunity, strategically explore options, develop confidence, enhance their communication style or develop their leadership and interpersonal skills. The list goes on…
  • What can I expect from an introductory coaching call?
Our coaches will have a free 10-15 minute introductory chemistry call with the client or manager before any coaching programme. This call allows the coach to actively listen and understand the coaching need and propose a bespoke coaching programme to meet those needs. The coach will set expectations and will ensure the client knows exactly the cost and what will be involved within each coaching programme.
  • How can I get the best results from working with a Coach?
Firstly, ensure this is the right time for you to take on coaching, and ensure you are in the right frame of mind and open to change. (A call with one of our coaches can assist you with that). Secondly, the more effort you put into the process, the better the results. Give yourself the best chance by ensuring your coaching sessions are completed when you are energised, alert, and ready for action. Build in some time after each session to reflect and make notes. Complete the exercises assigned by your coach in a timely manner as this leads to the very best outcomes. Trust me, they know what there are doing…Complete any reading assigned to you by your coach. Finally, follow the plan you and your coach have designed, these plans have many years of success, expertise and experience behind their design.
  • Where do Onelife coach people?
Onelife coaching sessions are mainly online. To our surprise, moving on line has proven to be highly effective and hugely time-saving for our clients. However, if a client has a special request to have a face-to-face session, this can be accommodated in our Dublin offices or on client site providing it makes sense to all concerned.
  • When and what times can career coaching take place?
Our Onelife coaches are very flexible. Generally, we operate during normal office hours, however, we can accommodate early morning sessions and evening sessions. We also operate one Saturday a month.
  • What’s the difference between working with a Career Development Coach and a Life Coach?
Career Development Coaching is focused on your development and effectiveness within the context of your career and work-life. Life Coaching is focused on your personal effectiveness and development, working typically on areas like increasing your confidence, working to achieve your personal goals in relationships, interpersonally, socially and your overall wellbeing. At Onelife we coach in a holistic way and tailor our programme if you require confidence coaching or decision making coaching to enable to make a career transition. Both life coaching and career coaching work by empowering the individual to move themselves forward, understanding your strenghts and giving you the tools and actions needed at that time in your life.
  • What’s the difference between coaching and therapy?
Coaching assumes that you’re a fundamentally healthy person capable of making positive change. If any of our coaches feel there is a need for therapy as opposed to coaching, they gently advise the client at the introduction call. Therapy assumes pathology and disorder that is limiting your ability to function “normally.” This is a deep and meaningful difference between the two orientations that has a direct impact on the outcomes.
  • How can I pay?
You can pay securely through our website or we can provide you with an invoice which contains our bank details for fund transfer.
