Some great questions to ask yourself and master the process...
When it comes to receiving feedback in our workplace, most of us operate from a negativity bias perspective. This means we tend to just focus on the real or perceived negative feedback. Negativity bias can come in the form of a heightened emotional response, overgeneralisation, being defensive, ruminating and self-criticism. A career limiting outcome can be the Dismissal of Positive Feedback. If you struggle to accept or believe positive feedback, it could be due to your own negativity bias.
Below are some great coaching questions to ask yourself following a feedback intervention or official session.
